Do you love nature? Then you’ll love Nidderdale!

Nidderdale is home to wonderful nature with an amazing variety of wildlife habitats and species.

From the high heather moorland with its pockets of blanket bog to rare hay meadows in the valley bottoms, Nidderdale supports a great diversity of habitats and wildlife.

With some of the finest heather moorlands in the country, woodlands and rich farm land, large areas of the Nidderdale landscape are internationally important for conservation because of their rich concentration of rare plants and wildlife.

Why not spend some time bird watching in the National Landscape. It is home to a vast number of species and even if you aren’t an avid bird watcher it is still a great way to spend a day.
