They’re a voluntary organisation and charity that supports farmers and families within the farming community. Stewardship options for lapwing, curlew, redshank and snipe
Online workshop about the currently available options for landowners in Nidderdale National Landscape interested in helping to conserve ground-nesting waders on their land. Marian Wilby, Nidderdale National Landscape Land Management Team Leader, and Chris Tomson, ecologist and former RSPB Farm Advisor, advise on the eligibility criteria for current stewardship options, and how they can be applied. Matthew Trevelyan, Nidderdale National Landscape FiPL Officer, offers advice on how the Farming in Protected Landscapes grant programme can offer further help to farmers who are looking to help waders.
