Thank you for your interest! We are currently unable to accept any new volunteers due to a recent increase in demand. We’re delighted that you’re interested though so please do submit the volunteer enrolment form and we will put you on a waiting list. As soon as there is space we will be in touch.

Volunteering with Nidderdale National Landscape is a great way to make friends, learn new skills, and get fit.  It’s also a chance to make a real difference to the long term conservation and protection of some of the most beautiful countryside in the Yorkshire Dales.

There are lots of ways to volunteer with us.  From practical conservation work and dry stone walling to student placements and office-based roles.  Find out more about our volunteering opportunities.

We think that learning new skills is an important part of volunteering.  Every year we offer a varied volunteer training programme, which is free for regular volunteers.

“Joining the Nidderdale National Landscape Conservation Volunteers was one of the best things I ever did. I now get to spend my Tuesdays out in the fresh air, getting very muddy, working hard and learning lots of new skills such as willow spiling, dry stone walling and hedge laying.
