Horse riding

Nidderdale National Landscape has more than 170km of bridleways.

Horse riding is a great way to see the beautiful Yorkshire countryside and Nidderdale has plenty to offer – from beginners learning to ride and looking for riding lessons to experienced riders who want a longer horse riding trek in the Yorkshire Dales.

Riding centres

There are a couple of riding centres in Nidderdale if you’re looking for a guided ride, organised pony trek or riding lesson.

Experienced riders

If you are an experienced rider, have your own horse and want to explore the local horse riding routes and bridleways in this corner of Yorkshire, the Ordnance Survey (OS) Explorer 297 or 298 maps, cover most of the National Landscape.
