Killer hill climbs for cyclists
Fancy a bit more of a cycling challenge?
Nidderdale National Landscape has some fantastic ‘killer’ hill climbs for road cyclists, guaranteed to get your heart pumping!
Four of our favourites
- Peat Lane, Bewerley – a 2 mile Category 3 climb with 711ft of climbing
- Trapping Hill, Lofthouse – a Category 3 climb in the heart of Upper Nidderdale – probably the most gruelling and relentless in the Dale
- Two Stoops, Nought Moor Road, Bewerley – a Category 3 climb – with an average gradient of 10%
- Old Church Lane, Pateley Bridge – a Category 3 climb, which starts at the top of Pateley Bridge high street
** Please note that the tourism information on this website is designed to provide an overview of opportunities in the area. The Nidderdale National Landscape team do not have the facilities or resources to deal with individual tourism enquiries and these should be directed to the tourist information office at Nidderdale Plus or one of the other local Tourist Information Centres.
