Volunteer support

Looking for help with a local project?

Our team of dedicated volunteers donate their time to improve the local countryside and keep Nidderdale an area of truly outstanding natural beauty.

Our conservation and dry stone walling volunteers regularly help local land managers and owners with landscape improvement projects they would not be able to undertake without volunteer support.

Eligibility

To be considered for volunteer support, your project must be focused on improving the landscape.  It must also involve one of the following:

  • Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) or Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC)
  • Public access routes
  • Special projects

In return, we would appreciate a donation to the Friends of Nidderdale AONB.

All donations go back into the volunteer programme.  Donations help pay for tools, training, PPE and other expenses involved in conserving the local landscape.
